The elegant Kastehelmi collection is now enriched with a new member, the Kastehelmi votive. Toikka's Kastehelmi range of glassware was designed in 1964 as the solution to a technical problem. Now, 50 years later, Iittala is celebrating his Kastehelmi range with the reintroduction of the most popular pieces from the range. The design came out of the problem where joint marks left behind when glass pieces are pressed together. Toikka found that adding droplets of glass on top of the seam was the ideal solution and the idea was born.
