HEL2012 mug 0,4 L is one of the pieces of the HEL2012 collection. To celebrate the World Design Capital Helsinki 2012, the Swedish artist Per Josephson has created the HEL2012 collection for Iittala. The artist was invited to share his own story of Finnishness and Helsinki urban culture. The series is decorated by a pixel collage representing heroes, cultural icons, events and urban landmarks at the core of Finnishness. HEL2012 collection includes a mug, a plate, a bowl, an espresso cup, an espresso saucer and a Takeaway mug. Except for the Takeaway mug, the shape of the range is based on Heikki Orvola’s Aika series.
