How can I return or exchange a product?

Finnish Design Shop customers have the right to return or exchange a product within 30 days of delivery. This returns policy does not extend to products which are produced or altered according to the customer’s wishes. These products have been clearly indicated in the product details.

The customer has the right to return an item if:

1. The order has been cancelled according to the terms and conditions by notifying Finnish Design Shop within 30 days of delivery,
2. The item has not been used,
3. The item is in the same condition it was when the customer received it in and all the parts of the product are included in the package, and
4. The item has been repackaged into its original package or an equivalent.

The item must be returned immediately after cancellation.

If you return or exchange an item, you are responsible for the risk of damages. We therefore suggest insuring all the returned items.

A damaged item will not be accepted as a return or exchanged if it cannot be established that the item has been damaged during the first shipping.

An exchange, credit or refund will be issued for the item value. Delivery charges are non-refundable.

What payment methods does Finnish Design Shop accept?

We accept American Express, Bancontact / Mister Cash, China Union Pay, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, Maestro, MasterCard (Eurocard), UnionPay and Visa.

What are my delivery options and how much do they cost?

We have tried to make our shipping policy as simple as possible for our customers. All orders over $200 ship free with UPS Standard Service in the continental U.S. For orders under $200 a shipping charge of $45 is added.

If the item is in stock, your order will be shipped the next business day and arrive anywhere in the continental U.S. within 2-3 business days.

How soon can I get my order?

How much duties and taxes will I have to pay?

The total price and shipping costs seen in the shopping cart during the checkout include all the customs and duties, except sales tax. You don’t have to worry about any hidden costs to your order.

Do you charge taxes?

No. We do not collect sales tax on any orders.

What if an item is damaged when I receive it?

All delivered items are insured. If you find the package damaged before opening, notify the delivery company immediately upon delivery. If you have opened the package before finding the item damaged, notify Finnish Design Shop Customer Service (email: immediately. When you are returning items, you will be responsible for the risk of damages. We therefore suggest insuring all returned products.

Can I track my order?

If you are a registered customer, you can browse your orders and track the delivery of items by logging into the system using your password. Click “Log In”.

If you are not a registered customer, you can track your order through the customer service (Mon – Fri 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (GMT +3), email: Be prepared to issue us with the order number. The order number can be found in the confirmation email. This ensures faster service.

Is the information I give you secure?

All customer information records will be secured both within the Internet as well as outside it. All confidential information will be encrypted so that no third party will be able to access them. We utilize SSL-encryption which is the most popular system for Internet encryption, used by banks to secure online transactions.

We receive no information regarding payment such as credit card numbers, bank account details etc. The supplied order related information will only be processed by designated Finnish Design Shop employees processing deliveries, billing, transportation and customer care. Our customer database is secured by personal user logins and passwords.

We do not collect or store customers’ credit card numbers in our database. Therefore even in the event of database intrusion the customers’ credit information cannot be obtained by a third party.

Can I order a gift item?

Yes. You can alter the delivery address upon placing an order on the delivery page by clicking “Change Delivery Address”. The billing address will always remain according to your own details.

What are Cookies and how do I enable them?

Like many other websites, also Finnish Design Shop uses cookies. Cookies are small strings of text that a website can send to your browser. Cookies enable a website to remember your browser and its settings when you return to the website and hence enable us to provide you with better personalized service. Cookies do not retrieve any other information from your computer, pass on viruses or capture your e-mail address.
